The Saudi Arabia-based healthtech company Athir has completed its inaugural funding round, with contributions from Wa’ed Ventures, SHARE Investment Co., and RZM Investment. The total funds raised in this round remain undisclosed.

Athir stands as the first groundbreaking health platform in Saudi Arabia, operating on a national cloud network, said Chairman and Co-Founder of Athir Jawad Chaudhry.

Established in 2017 by Jawad Chaudhry, Ahmad AlJehani, and Abdoulmohsen Alyoubi, Athir is leading the charge in digital transformation in the healthcare industry. The company provides a wide range of services, such as healthcare management, revenue management, and medical insurance systems. Furthermore, Athir’s smart device applications offer integrated medical records for patients visiting clinics and medical centres.

Athir’s “Athir HIS” system stands out as a premier feature, being the first fully integrated healthcare system in Saudi Arabia that serves both public and private healthcare facilities. This system is intended to integrate seamlessly with national platforms such as Absher, Sehhaty, and Wasfaty, along with current hospital healthcare systems and medical insurance systems.

According to Chaudhry, Athir is designed to offer a holistic healthcare system for service providers, enhance the patient journey, optimise medical insurance workflows, and drive transformation in healthcare while opening up new avenues in the sector.
