Mush Social raises $1.2 million in pre-seed funding

Saudi Arabian startup Mush Social raised $1.2 million in pre-seed funding, led by Nifal Consulting, with backing from Nahr Al-Jazeera Holding and other angel investors. Founded in 2022 by Abdulhadi Alasmi, Mush Social creates a unique social platform where users earn points and own virtual assets through its innovative map feature, potentially turning interactions into financial rewards.

With this funding, Mush Social will expand its technology to boost user experience and engagement. The platform’s interactive points system unlocks exclusive benefits. Its map feature allows users to claim virtual assets that may lead to financial returns, maximizing value for users.

Mush Social competes in a crowded market, ranking last among 109 competitors, including MyHeritage, Cluster, and Geni. Ten competitors have received funding, and five have been acquired. The broader industry has raised over $120 million across 34 funding rounds, underscoring the high stakes in this space.

Founder Abdulhadi Alasmi says the investment will help build advanced technology, aiming to offer a unique, global product that gives users real, tangible benefits.
