Dubai-based real estate developer Meteora Developers has acquired the Emirati property crowdfunding platform Maisour in a multimillion-dollar deal, signaling a major move in the UAE’s real estate market. Meteora Developers, established in 2022 by Praveen Sharma, has a diverse portfolio of projects across the UAE, while Maisour, founded in 2021 by Ahmed Nour, Haytham Assaal, and Sari Safi, operates out of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and allows global investors to participate in the UAE property market through fractional ownership.
This acquisition will enable investors on the Maisour platform to benefit from the extensive offerings of Meteora Developers, blending Meteora’s real estate expertise with Maisour’s tech-driven approach to investment. Maisour’s platform allows investors to enter the Dubai real estate market with as little as AED 500, making property investment more accessible to a broader audience.
Praveen Sharma, Founder and CEO of Meteora Developers, highlighted the acquisition’s significance, noting,
This deal is a significant step toward making Dubai real estate accessible to billions of potential investors worldwide. With a low entry point, we expect an unprecedented surge in demand for ready properties in Dubai.
The acquisition also brings together the extensive experience of both companies’ founders, who collectively have over 70 years of expertise in real estate, investment banking, technology, and marketing. This merger sets the stage for rapid expansion into new markets, enhancing Maisour’s platform with Meteora’s resources, connections, and market insights.
Mohamed Sabry, Senior Executive Officer of Maisour, remarked on the acquisition, stating, “This marks a new chapter of growth and innovation for Maisour. With Meteora’s backing, we can better serve our investors and continue to innovate.”
The deal also positions Maisour for exponential growth, with plans to introduce new features such as a secondary market and AI-driven reinvestment strategies, along with potential expansions into markets like Saudi Arabia, Egypt, India, and Pakistan.
Praveen Sharma added that the partnership between Maisour and Meteora represents a perfect synergy of technology and real estate expertise, offering unparalleled opportunities to investors while strengthening Dubai’s status as a global real estate hub. The acquisition will also provide current and future Maisour investors with access to premium real estate projects curated by experts from both companies, solidifying Maisour’s position as a leading real estate crowdfunding platform in the UAE and beyond.
