London Business School Invites MENA Entrepreneurs to Participate in Competition

London Business School (LBS) has launched its third annual MENA Startup Competition for 2024, inviting entrepreneurs from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region to participate. This year’s competition focuses on startups that leverage advanced technologies and provide sustainable solutions in line with regional economic goals.

Organized by LBS’s Entrepreneurship Clubs and sponsored by the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Private Capital (IEPC), the event collaborates with AstroLabs, a Gulf-based business growth platform, and is supported by Saudi Arabia’s Center of Digital Entrepreneurship (CODE).

The competition offers a valuable opportunity for budding startups to engage with local venture capitalists, receive mentorship, and access educational resources. Winners will gain visibility, financial backing, and the opportunity to expand their networks within the vibrant MENA startup ecosystem.

“Fostering innovation in MENA means unlocking limitless potential,” says Jane Khedair, Executive Director of IEPC, in an interview with StartupScene. “This competition allows us to build a future rooted in creativity, resilience, and opportunity.”

Previous winners, such as The Surpluss—a B2B platform for industrial asset exchange—have enjoyed significant growth and support. This year’s participants will have the opportunity to gain market traction, attract investors, and tap into LBS’s global network.

Applications are open until September 14, 2024, with virtual semi-finals set for October and the final pitches scheduled for November.
