Tenmou, Bahrain’s pioneering angel investment firm, has recently invested in two promising Bahraini startups: Tajweed and Travilege.
Founded by Salman AlMarzooq in 2021, Travilege offers a B2B2C ERP software solution tailored for travel agencies. Tajweed, established by Khalil Alqaheri, is a digital platform focused on teaching the Holy Quran and the Arabic language.
Tenmou’s investment strategy is designed to foster the angel investing culture within Bahrain’s technology sector, emphasizing startups with significant growth potential.
Nawaf Al-Kooheji, CEO of Tenmou, emphasized the firm’s dedication to broadening its investment portfolio, which now encompasses over 35 Bahraini startups. Tenmou’s goal is to stimulate venture investment in Bahrain’s tech scene and demonstrate the capabilities of local startups within the broader entrepreneurial landscape. The firm has successfully backed ventures that have scaled up beyond Bahrain, reaching regional and global markets.
Al-Kooheji noted that Tenmou’s investment in Tajweed and Travilege was based on their strong growth potential. He added that this investment would help these startups attract further funding from local and regional investors, thus fostering job creation and boosting entrepreneurship in Bahrain.
Tenmou’s investment approach aims to encourage angel investing in high-growth technology startups led by dynamic founders who excel in business strategy and financial performance.
Reflecting on Tenmou’s achievements, Al-Kooheji mentioned that the company has consistently surpassed industry benchmarks, achieving returns of more than three times its initial investment within an average of four years. This success highlights Tenmou’s expertise in spotting high-potential startups and evaluating innovative projects, cementing its role as a key funding partner for Bahraini entrepreneurs.
